Dosewallips Maple Valley and Steam Donkey Loop

Discover pass required. We will meet near the Maple valley trailhead within the Dosewalips campground at the restrooms. It should be well marked. the Maple valley trail is a short distance and then it will turn into Steam Donkey loop trail. It is about 3 miles and 500 feet elevation, the trail is narrow with brushes so wear long pants and long sleeves, with good shoes for slippery areas. Go north on hwy 3 across the Hood Canal bridge, take a left on Center road, which is 101 south. go through Quilcene to Brinnon. Take a sharp right following the dosewallips campground signage. avoid the campsite areas by staying to the left and snaking back to the restroom and look for the Maple Valley trail head. From my house it will be about 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to the trailhead.
