Hello ladies! Autumn is officially upon us! I don't know about y'all but, personally I am excited to wear the majority of my wardrobe again!! We have a couple of reminders and fun things to look forward to this month. We're excited to spend some time together, have fun, and bless others!
Topic:
We will be having a self-defense speaker and might be asked to participate in learning some movements so please dress accordingly. (I am in no way saying we will be wrestling each other, ha!, simply that we might get up at our tables and mimic something by ourselves but next to each other if ya catch what I mean:)
Announcements:
- October is miscarriage awareness month, we will be acknowledging this in our meeting on the 17th. I personally understand how difficult this can be, even the mention of miscarriage is difficult for me to hear; if you are uncomfortable with this being brought up, it will only be mentioned for a brief time in the beginning of the meeting with anonymous participation so we can honor and pray for those suffering the loss of a child. You do not have to participate and, if it is too much for you, you can join us for our next meeting on October 31st.
- Please reach out to your table lead or to me (sarah.drinnon@gmail.com) if you need someone to talk to or someone to cry with you. We may not have the answers but we can do the one thing Jobs' friends did right when visiting him in his despair, sit with you in silence and be there.
- There will be no blessing table this week.
- Please pick up your kiddos by 11:20am
- You can prepare for our next meeting by gathering some gently used clothes (men's, women's, children's) and bagging them up with a little tag that says Scarlet Road on it. We will be collecting donations in an effort to raise money for this amazing ministry. If you'd like to know more about what Scarlet Road does here is a link to their website: https://scarletroad.org/about/. In short, they help survivors of trafficking. This is of course optional but a great way to declutter and donate to a good cause!
Fun Stuff:
-On October 24th Peninsula Bible Fellowship will be hosting a super fun ladies event called Music Mania in the Sanctuary; It is a Name-That-Tune competition!
-Bring your favorite snack to share - drinks will be provided.
-Come dressed in your best "casual & comfy" outfit - pajamas are welcome – and be prepared to sing along, laugh, and get to know each other at this unique music extravaganza!
-Time: 7pm-9pm
